Dr. Sanjiv Malhotra
Founder, President & CEO
Dr. Malhotra has extensive technical and business understanding of fuel cells and alternative energy technologies. Dr. Malhotra's professional experience includes more than 15 years in the design, development and commercialization of a variety of fuel cell technologies. Aside from heading Product Development teams, Dr. Malhotra has been the VP of Sales, Marketing & Business Development at pioneering Fuel Cell companies such as DCH Technology and H-Power, where he created and managed large sales and business development teams. While at H-Power he was instrumental in leading its IPO in Aug 2000. Dr. Malhotra worked at the renowned Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and led research on design and development of Zinc-Air Batteries with a leading battery manufacturer. Dr. Malhotra has been an advisor to leading VC firms such as Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers where he assisted its venture partners with due diligence of several energy related investment opportunities. Dr. Malhotra has served on many technical committees, panels and boards and has been a keynote and invited speaker at several international energy forums and events.

Suk-Yal Cha, Ph.D.
Vice President of Technology and Innovation
Dr. Cha is vice president of Technology at Oorja Protonics Inc , Fremont, California. Prior to joining Oorja Protonics, he was Director of Technology at PolyFuel Inc, Mountain View, California and at Superprotonic Inc, Pasadena, California. He has also worked as a researcher at SRI International, Menlo Park, California and KIST, Seoul, Korea for over 10 years. His technology interests are micro and macro electrode structures, interface between ionic and electronic conducting materials, hydrogen generation, advanced electrochemical energy conversion systems, especially direct methanol fuel cell, H2/Air fuel cell and super capacitor. He holds several patents and is an author of over 22 research papers in leading electrochemical and chemical engineering journals. He is a member of The Electrochemical Society.

Don, Pacholec
Vice President of Finance
Don Pacholec has over 20 years of Financial management experience in the High Tech sector. As CFO, he helped establish the financial operations for new technology ventures from Xerox as well as co-founded a fabless semiconductor company which developed firmware, software and the key silicon devices which became Apple’s initial IPOD product. In addition to startup operations, Don also held Director of Finance roles at National Semiconductor and Sun Microsystems, including financial management of Sun’s software and hardware development activities as well as worldwide customer service and support finance. He was also responsible for financial management of manufacturing operations for HP’s NonStop ™ products as well as worldwide aspects of HP’s Enterprise Systems Group supply chain. Don holds an MBA – Finance degree from Lehigh University and a BS – Chemistry degree from Steven’s Institute of Technology.

Muhammad Alam
Vice President of Operations
Muhammad has over 14 years of experience in Operations and Manufacturing in leading automotive and semiconductor capital equipment companies. Prior to Oorja. he worked as Head of Product Development in an automotive startup company. He also worked in Applied Materials as NPI Industrial Engineer. Muhammad started his career with Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan where he worked on the new model introduction of the Toyota Corolla family of products. Muhammad has a Masters in Industrial & Systems Engineering from San Jose State University. He is an active member of APICS (Association of Operations Management)
